Sardis Secondary is a school rich in the tradition of pursuing excellence. We believe that students must take the responsibility to be the very best citizens and students they can be. We have one rule that is prevalent and that is we all show respect to one another at all times. Our code of personal conduct is built on the premise that we all have the right to learn in an environment of mutual respect and this requires that we show a high level of personal discipline.
Sardis Junior High School opened its doors in the fall of 1956 with the official opening on October 23, 1956 by the Ministry of Education. Sardis began as a Grade 7 to 9 school with Grade 10, 11 and 12 being added in the following years resulting with the first Grade 12 class graduating in June 1967. Over the years Grades 7, 8, and 9 were phased out making Sardis Grade 10 to 12. Sardis Secondary quickly outgrew its facilities and a new school was built beside the existing building which was officially closed on February14, 1995. Again Sardis outgrew its facilities and the South Campus was added for a period of time to ease the growing population. An addition was eventually added and the South Campus was closed. September 2018 saw the return of Grade 9 to Sardis increasing our enrollment yet again.
